The Tomaree Community Hospital is a NSW government facility which provides health care to people living in Nelson Bay and surrounding areas. Its services include emergency services (adult and paediatric), adult acute medical care, and palliative care.

In 2018, NSW Public Works Advisory invited tenders for the upgrade of Tomaree Community Hospital in a project referred to as Tomaree HealthOne. Graph’s tender was successful, and work commenced on site in November 2018.

The bulk of the work involved a 1,200m² extension to the existing hospital to accommodate a number of services, including X-Ray, CT Scan, dental suites, consultation rooms, treatment rooms, offices, waiting and reception areas, and amenities.  Generally, these were previously operating from demountable buildings on the site. Following this work, the demountable buildings were demolished and a new carpark, public entry and staff outdoor areas were all constructed.

The work was undertaken with added complication of a number of active COVID-19 cases within the hospital during the first half of 2020.

The upgrade was staged in order to allow the hospital and other community services to continue to operate throughout the course of the work.
